/download. I got lost in this one, in the best possible-i'm-dancing-while-i'm-doing-everything sort of way. I really need to get caught up on the rest of your submissions. Thanks for posting this. Truly enjoyable.

me two i gotta check out your latest stuff thanks 4 all your reviews mate

The author comment made made me laugh. The track itself was kind of catchy, is this a demo?

sapoman responds:

Pretty much. All my songs are demos until I can get into a real studio. Thanks for the comment. My sense of humor is retarded.

I hear nothing about this beat that is out of place or unusual. Perhaps because I am often a voice of mechanical terror my self, or so I've been told. This was moving, with a particular momentum building around the 2:10 mark. I began smiling, but I was hoping for more of a climactic finish. Perhaps next time? :)

Phonometrologist responds:

Again thank you for your input!
To be continued I guess regarding the climax lol.
I was thinking of the bass synth as a heart beat because of my own palpitations that I have experienced. The synth is to represent a human heart, hence the name ectopic, because you're right that there isn't anything unusual in the music itself.
This type of sound and what you're accustomed to writing is something that I have yet to develop more as I find this sort of thing very therapeutic as much so as any other kind of music that one would describe as "easy on the ears."

My apologies, I heard neither eagerness nor yearning. I heard peace and relief; a burden being lifted. Regardless, I enjoyed this thoroughly.

Phonometrologist responds:

I can't accept your apology. What you heard is correct. I love to hear what other people get out of their own experience in music, art, etc. Who am I to tell another what they hear is wrong? For when one writes something and puts it out there for another to hear, I can no longer define it as a way of entitlement.
On occasion, I would be dumbfounded on something that I have written while others can explain better to me to what the piece means.
In this case, that sense of eagerness and yearning mostly applies to the brief relationship of the two chords in contrast to the rest of the passage. It was pretty much of a testimony from another listener, and not necessarily my own, although I did follow what they had to say. I asked what they thought, and they said it felt like "home" and "safe," which probably fits more of your description.
As a whole though, he did seem to envision that of a hero struggling but amidst of that struggle he dreamt of a hope. A hope not yet realized.

Truly enjoyable to listen to, and I will many times again.

Yqarus responds:

Thank you Anchorwind ^^
I give my best to become better with every track I create!

Your 'author comment' receives bonus points by itself.

AliceMako responds:

I should state the obvious more often.

Hey Sapoman! Long time no hear. Nice to see you're still about and about. The first half of this is most certainly your stronger half, but your work has such an 80s euro-pop feel to it. I get nostalgia. Keep at it.

sapoman responds:

Yeah, this song needs to be longer. I will probably add a few more parts when I get a chance. For now, it's just a poem.

At this rate, "Heartgrinder" will need a genre label by itself, with all the: remixes, covers, influences, and whatnot. Not my favorite, but there is no such thing as bad publicity. GO HG.

Spoonukem responds:

I probably could've done better with some bits here and there (the drum work was admittedly lazy of me). I mostly just wanted to recreate the original song and bring out some of the 'heavier' qualities, with greater emphasis on guitars and with the backing of orchestral strings and what not.

Simply. I love the music and to me that's what it's all about.

It's nice to see another Lich Lord piece. Hope you've more instrumentals in the works :p .

Lich responds:

I may have something along the lines of an Instrumental on the Album coming up soon :)

I'm not an LSD nut job, but I enjoyed this nonetheless. This didn't vary from musical idea to musical idea as much as many of your other recent projects have, I enjoyed the coherence.

SlaughterClub responds:

hey big thanks 4 all your reviews man !!! i really appreciate your thoughts ;-)))
