I'm always a fan of unconventional experimentation. Get out and try things. I am less a fan of this particular execution per se, but I like the overall idea.

it is a shame this wasn't finished. I went and checked. I would have liked to see the full version too.

Yeahh, I have about 100 or so projects that I dropped, this was unfortunately one of them.
Thanks for the review though.

of the different sections here the post 7:30 is my favorite, overall I enjoyed the work. I wonder if there is a 'radio edit' version :D This not just a track you just throw on casually.

Angry? Oh no, this is happy and cheerful! I enjoyed the retro feel of the track. It has a nice tempo, easy to groove to, it plays with nostalgia without being overboard. The symbols at the end were unnecessarily loud/harsh but eh. Still enjoyable overall.

Digging through things that have on NG for a few (several) years have been a lot of fun, like vinyl digging, but without the cool artwork. I'm a big Castlevania fan so I went there, mentally, listening to this a little bit but there are elements of other things too, like driving through a tunnel, or going trick-or-treating. I enjoy music that takes you places. This has an enjoyable crispness to it. Well done.

This is a pleasant track to listen to, a trip-hop (inspired) piece? Wherever it came from, well done. I've given it a couple listens already. While I'm not sure if the over all flat, tinny, sound was intentional in order to make the bass the one star of the show - it kind of works. The accent(s) of the vocalists is(are) fairly pronounced too, something not always heard when someone is singing. It gives a nice element to the piece - so again, it kind of works.

this has a nice creeping doom quality to it. someone is going to axe murder you as soon as you turn the corner. i like it.

thanks brother was learning to use massive vst at the time good software ;-)

This reminded me of bobble bobble, which is nice.

However, I'd love to hear this without the extra processing. This is harsh to hear, and not in a pleasant 'this is industrial' way. It's just overdone. I'm not sure if this is a overdrive effect, or levels too high, etc., but I'd genuinely like to hear this done properly. I bet this could be a wonderful track.

FlaksterMusic responds:

I really appreciate the criticism! Yeah, my early mixes tend to have too much saturation on them, I only just figured out how to fix it two days ago haha. It’ll sound much better even before the vocals are laid down

It's a shame the one person who voted 5/5 before me didn't leave feedback; perhaps you voted for yourself?

This is a over all poorly mixed project and it reflects in the visual waveform. The one percussion sound dominates the track and more than drowns out the string loop. If the vocals told a story it was lost on me. I'm a big fan of heavy projects, but I find myself wondering where the progression is: around the 2:00 mark when you really get to hear the rest of the beat it is faint, distant, almost purposefully muffled. If you accomplished your goals then power to you.

I wish you all the best moving forward.

DJPeniPeg responds:

thanks :3
why did you hide your rating?
and no I don't vote my own projects

I have this retro vibe from this track, I am just invisioning this sunglasses-clad nameless protagonist beating up anything that moves in this pixelated red ferrari-but-not-ferrari rescuing busty-blonde after ludricous amounts of button mashing. I dig it.

Plan Slowly, Execute Quickly. Don't Think, Just Dance.
